Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, has reached a net worth of $30 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (October 23, 2025), making him the first self-made African ever to hit that milestone.
The Nigerian industrialist built his wealth through the Dangote Group, spanning cement, sugar, and oil refining.
His latest $160 million cement plant in Côte d'Ivoire adds to a network of 11 factories across Africa, while his oil refinery aims to double output to 1.4 million barrels per day, positioning it among the world's largest.
