Ugandan Opposition leader Bobi Wine in hiding after police raid his home
Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine is on the run after police raided his home.
Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi, said he escaped the raid and has since been in hiding. He said he is constantly on the move and being housed and protected “by the common people.”
Wine has said his wife and other relatives are under house arrest
The singer-turned-politician was the main challenger to President Yoweri Museveni in last week’s presidential election.
